CeBIT 2006: Samsung plans "HTC Killer"

I have to admit: we are prone to exaggerate, when it comes to cool gadgets that we are lusting for. Take the Samsung SGH-i750, we talked about the other day. This nifty little slider had us all excited and now we know, how much we have to shell out for it: 679 Euro will get you Samsungs first GSM Pocket PC phone (to be sold in Germany). But there is more Samsung goodness to come this year, according to Alexander Avramidis, a senior product manager in the German branch of the Korean electronics giant. The product roadmap he broadly outlined to us during CeBIT, includes a direct competitor to HTCs line of devices emerging in the second half of 2006. Outfitted with a side sliding QWERTY keyboard, this new PPC phone will probably opt for a 2.4" display and is expected to be more pocket friendly overall. Which might spare you questions like "Is that a boy toy in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"
